Crap

I forgot I had a blog then how to get to it. Thank God for bookmarks and me I think recalling how to save and transfer them to a new computer. Now the task I have at hand because I am considered as old as dirt to even cousins now to share not a political correct image of my family but a raw family how it was not by today's standards but maybe through the eyes of a family history.

What makes me different in my cousins and our younger family members is I have to dig up history from what I was taught what I was exposed to I cannot google it I have boxes and small mementos passed to me through time as a youngest son. Together I make sense of what I can what any family members makes of it is a free choice. Rejoice what as a family we have in common life is not always fair or pretty and a reality TV show.

Political ramblings

I am a die hard independent voter both parties are just to damn schizoid for me. Take our recent state 7-11 taxes the state hopes to raise 173 million in new tax dollars by adding a buck a pack tax while the state health department prays it makes more people quit. How they going to raise any money if people quit? I guess that is a minor detail they schizoids have yet to figure out.

What’s with Vegans and PETA? They have yet to respond just where all said animals that are no longer will be consumed be housed in fed? I guess they are not considering the free range wild pigs and cows that will lay waste to their fields of wheat grass and soy beans and hopefully starve them. While us other PETA as in (People Eating Tasty Animals) and continue to live on. A thinks to cousin KC for the other PETA heads up! But really what is the carbon footprint of making a veggie burger? After all plain old soy beans alone are rather dull and require processing.

Who has a larger carbon foot print the Green Peace on jet skis and ships or a Native American Indian Tribe is a cedar hand paddled canoe’s preserving their way of life? Thumbs down to them for hassling people over their lack of understand their agenda will do away with entire cultures and ways of life. I wish I could make a living hassling races and people and saving the Kio that the urban raccoons ate out of my water gardens.

What is up with the shopping bag people? Why is it you treat everyone like morons most if not all consumers recycle and reuse yet it is not good enough for you folks you have to add a tax and force wasted time of our government as they define what a plastic bag is.

I am fed up with the media and of both political parties not looking for ways to come together and well have tolerances of the differences and promote a common good. I am sick of the special interest groups expounding the good green life while wasting more time energy and tax dollars or totally lame laws. Who someone marries down the block or in the state does not affect my own marriage or what I believe get over it, passing a smoker on the street is not going to give you cancer; someone eating meat is not mistreating and animal.

I’m sick of all the medical research that shows this or that will shorten your life or kill you. I have news for all them I was born with a fatal defect I am human and I’m going to die but live a sterile life is just not on my agenda, going to make those bad choices and good ones as well and enjoy life and at some point die. Death is not something you can control it arrives when it does.

So my position in mid terms is a wait and see that is out there but I expect to see nothing but a media reporting war between whom ever. I just will look for someone running that wants to deal with the problems not pander to party agendas or political cause or special interest do it for the good of the planet person. We need to get real not get off on the hostility and feed frenzy the media like us to play into to get their rating numbers.

Nuff said first and last time I’ll mention this area.

Summer of Love

I had one way back in 1968 and now the youngest of my three sons is about to have his. Yeah the dad and son talk as he informed his mother and I that he was going to start dating. Mom had a bit of a time of it but backed down when I said it was time for that guy talk thing. I am short and to the point in this stuff because this far with the older two it appears to have worked. One is a woman says NO that is what it means and to always respect that, second I must know who she is and who her mother and or father are or the couple along with phone numbers. Last thing is pure guy stuff and the entire sex talk reduced to "Don't Poke Without a Coat". He assured me he knew and I am sure he does and I am also sure he will be a good boyfriend or friend to any young woman.

I was sort of amused however by the youngest sons actions lately like quitting his on-line gaming yes on his own choice he unplugged his X-box and canceled his WOW account. Part of the reasons were his school grades going form middle school to High School he told me. A couple weeks later now I understand his motivations yes it was because of his bad grades partly (but his debit card the modern day invention of the dad can I have a 20 got a date) monthly income only goes so far. So I had a 2.1 talk son girls are also expensive his response was he knew.
